The camera's flash makes the pups look glossy and almost silver. They are actually all black. It's amazing what light and reflection can do. Can you see the little wrinkles across the pup's muzzle? Newborn schnauzer faces look kind of squished in like this. You can see by the wrinkles that the muzzle is meant to move out and become more prominent as the pup grows.
